Zero Harm for our employees, Community and Environment are our highest priority.PURPOSE & SCOPE OF THE POSITION:Under limited supervision, plan, organize, manage and evaluate assigned maintenance activities. Supervise maintenance technicians. Develop, plan, and coordinate the work plan for assigned projects and responsibilities, which may include project management, cost estimates and program development.JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Follow safe work procedures and best practices. Establish tactical and strategic goals, objectives, policies and procedures in assigned area within the business. Direct maintenance staff in daily operations. Inspect daily operations and projects in progress and upon completion to ensure quality of work.Provide administrative and technical direction to staff; interpret policies and procedures established by regulatory agencies.Oversee and recommend the selection of key staff. Participate in the selection of staff.Work with employees to correct deficiencies. Implement disciplinary procedures and recommend terminations. Investigate complaints and recommend corrective action as necessary.Develop, plan, and coordinate the work plan for assigned projects and responsibilities, which may include project management, cost estimates and program development.Coordinate work with other units and site departments.Provide information and resources to site officials and other departments. Evaluate infrastructure, facilities and operating systems for needed maintenance and repair.Coordinate the activities of consultants and contractors.Works on complex issues and implements solutions mostly through the determination of strategy and delegation to others in a group or functional area.Works under limited supervision and has significant latitude to set objectives, priorities and timelines that may impact a group or functional area within the company.Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.REQUIRED EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years related operational experience, including supervisory or management experience.Ability to plan, prioritize, direct and manage a diverse number of operational areas, projects and activities.Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.Skilled in following safety practices, recognizing hazards and communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.Working knowledge of MSHA surface codes.Valid Driver's License. Knowledge of mobile mining equipment. Ability to coach and counsel employees and hold accountabilities. PREFERRED EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:5 years in a maintenance supervisory position. TECHNICAL SKILLS:Skilled in Microsoft software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project.Working knowledge of principles of planning, scheduling and coordination. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:Occasionally for training and development.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Skilled in supervising, evaluating, training and motivating employees.Ability to develop front line supervision. Ability to aid and mentor staff in maintenance troubleshooting & repair.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Heavy: Exerting 50 to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 lbs. of force constantly.
