With locations around the world, CGC and USG have the resources, plants, products and people to build walls, ceilings and careers.CGC Inc. is currently hiring a Mine Electrical Technician Co-op for our Hagersville plant.Position Description:• Conducting preventative maintenance programs and updating maintenance records.• Interpreting readings taken from electrical testing equipment.• Working on assigned projects such as building and installing lighting systems, fiber optic cable installation, and equipment rebuilds.• Performing housekeeping duties as required and maintaining a clean workstation.Requirements:• Currently enrolled in the Electrical Engineering Technician (Power) program.• Possesses fundamental knowledge of AC and DC power systems and controls.• Capable of reading and interrupting wiring diagrams and schematics for electrical equipment and heavy mobile equipment.• Basic troubleshooting skills.• Well organized and demonstrates the ability to work safely.• Strong written and verbal communication skills.• Demonstrates problem-solving skills and the ability to work as a team.• Able to work in an underground mine environment.At CGC Inc. we go the distance to provide The Better Way.
