The Academic Coordinator works in close coordination with our Upper School team to plan, provide oversight, organization, and coordination of academic-related systems and events. This position facilitates communication between administration, students, parents, faculty, and ancillary staff.

This position reports directly to the Academic Office Manager. Candidates will also be prepared to participate in the life of the school and hold other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Life.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Provides administrative support to the Academic Administrative Team and Communications Director. Coordinates, executes, and attends all important academic and cultural events for both middle and high school. Drafts school-wide academic communications sent by the Academic Administrative Team Creates and maintains academic calendar for the middle and high school Collaborates on campus-related initiatives with teachers, administrators, and parent organizations  Works at the campus front desk as needed Job Qualifications Project management and event planning experience, required Bachelor's Degree, required Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends, to accommodate school events and activities Experience with Google suite, required Flexible, proactive, and collaborative thinker Strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and belonging practices Commitment to personal and professional development Operates with a high level of integrity, professionalism, and organization Commitment to upholding the mission and values of Headwaters School This is a full-time, non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $25.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience. This position reports to the Academic Office Manager.
