JOB SUMMARY: The Manager of Ambulatory Services provides day to day operational oversight for ancillary or assigned departments. Implements strategy of Director of Clinical Operations. Manages assigned departments efficiently and effectively to maximize quality of services and profits of the hospital.
Assists with service line and business development activities in their assigned areas of responsibility.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1.Facilitates/supervises operations to ensure their quality and maximize return on investment, as well as reputation in the community.
Develops and implements quality programs to meet community needs. Through appropriate management practices, creates a climate for employee motivation and high performance. Establishes direction, coaches and develops employees, provides feedback, and builds commitment. Participates in leadership and other appropriate meetings as assigned. Promotes Service Excellence. Responsible for administrative functions of assigned clinics. Responsible for productivity, budgeting and financial operations of delegated cost centers Meets KPI target to retain top performing personnel of clinics Meet KPI targets for Cost Per Visit and Operating Margin 10.Provides management leadership to clinic employees
11.Serves as liason with clinic physicians and other community members as necessary
12.Maintains contract negotiations on an on-going basis with various outside agencies, vendors, and other
members of the community
13.Develops, implements, and maintains current departmental/program policies and procedures that are
compliant with all regulatory agencies
14.Ensure clinics meet all current infection control standards.
15.Implements practice change directed by evidence based research
16.Recognize/communicate ethical and legal concerns through established channels of communication
17.Manage clinical policies and standards with Medical Director of clinics as appropriate..
18.Performs other duties as assigned/required.

Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5 years of experience in an hospital or acute care setting with multiple locations. Minimum of 2-3 years of previous leadership experience with direct reports. Must be detail oriented and able to focus on nuances of multiple hospital operations. Effective communication skills with diverse groups, including physicians, managers, and employees is required. Knowledge of the financial implications of decisions including budgeting and forecasting for a limited number of departments and/or projects is required. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to DHL's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer. Current CPR certification required.
Knowledge of the principles, procedures and regulations governing Medicare/JHACO/HIPPA Standards.
Continued employment is contingent on successfully maintaining current required certification(s) and/or license(s).
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree highly preferred.
