Responsibilities
• Initiate outbound calls or emails to members for care management programs• Use motivational interviewing techniques to engage members in health-related activities• Educate members about benefits and resources for preventive screenings and treatment plans• Work with care managers to meet member needs and make appropriate referrals• Record and track member interactions using the care management platform
Requirements
• Strong communication skills for interacting with individuals on sensitive topics• Customer-service skills, including telephone etiquette, listening, and maintaining confidentiality• Effective oral and written communication abilities• General organization, data entry, and administrative skills• Ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks• Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet search• Ability to work a varied schedule• Knowledge of medical terminology and disease topics• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines• Problem-solving and decision-making skills• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and learn new information• Ability to work under stress and respond tactfully to inquiries• Ability to work in a team environment• Initiative in researching and resolving benefit and eligibility issues
