Overview As a Medical Surgical Charge Nurse at CHI St Vincent Infirmary, you'll excel in your nursing career by providing care to patients admitted to our unit. Most of your patients are funneled in from other units providing you with the opportunity to build on your education and experience in specialized service lines such as cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency.

Responsibilities In addition to the RN Job Description, responsibilities include facilitating day-to-day operations of the Unit. Collaborates with staff, Nurse Managers, team leaders, supervisors, and physicians to ensure quality patient care is being provided with optimum patient outcomes.

Your documentation and communication is thorough, adding value to the whole nursing team. You position your teammates to do his, her, or their best work- benefiting your shared patients by ensuring a smooth transition at shift change when you give report.
You have a talent for planning and coordinating which patients and their loved ones appreciate. You have the ability to think critically, creatively, and unconventionally when necessary. Project management is a natural talent as you will coordinate care between multiple patients while keeping your entire healthcare team on track with shared goals.
We are offering a sign on bonus up to $25,000 depending on shift to hires who meet the eligibility requirements. Qualifications Unencumbered license to practice in the State of Arkansas
1 year of acute care experience is required for PRN
Previous med surg experience is preferred, but not required
BLS through the American Heart Association is required
Additional certifications (like ACLS) may be required depending on the unit
