About the Role:
As a Medical Collections Specialist, you'll play a vital role in our team, focusing on outbound calls, account follow-up, and patient receivables resolution. This virtual position offers an opportunity to showcase your customer service skills while contributing to positive patient interactions and financial well-being.
Responsibilities:
Handle outbound calls and account follow-up, spending 90% of your time on the phone.
Identify and escalate problem accounts as necessary.
Update patient account records accurately.
Collaborate with patients and guarantors to secure outstanding payments.
Maintain productivity and quality standards.
Ensure exceptional customer service delivery.
Work collaboratively with team members and management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous call center experience is advantageous.
Minimum one year of related experience, preferably in healthcare collections.
Familiarity with healthcare revenue space collections is desirable.
Flexibility to work one Saturday per month and one evening per week.
Reliable high-speed internet connection (25 MB Download, 6 MB Upload) and no Wi-Fi usage permitted.
Bilingual skills are a plus, though not mandatory.
