Job Locations US-VA-Richmond US-VA-Glen Allen Type Full-Time Overview January 2024 Start Date Medical Assistant Marathon Health is seeking full-time Medical Assistanst (MA) who has knowledge and experience in primary care and preventative services to treat and work with employees and families (ages 2+) at their near-site corporate health and wellness center in Richmond, Virginia.
We have full-time opportunities at 3 clinic locations:
Downtown Richmond Tentative Shift Time: Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm
Northside Richmond Tentative Shift Time: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8am - 5pm; Wednesday: 10am - 7pm; Saturday 8am - 12pm
Southside Richmond Tentative Shift Time: Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 8am - 5pm; Tuesday and Thursday 10am - 7pm

Responsibilities The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting both the front and back office, including greeting and rooming patients, scheduling, answering phones, taking vitals, drawing blood, administering vaccines, and providing additional clinical support wherever needed. Maintaining a collaborative relationship with the center's staff is a key ingredient to success in this position.
Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of medical assistant experience (in addition to an externship) Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred Phlebotomy/venipuncture and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required Attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively with patients and strong computer skills required You should want to work in an environment where health education and outreach is important to you and challenges you to make a difference COVID-19 Vaccinations are not mandated at Marathon Health unless there are specific client requirements or applicable state laws.
