Med Surg Rn - Days

Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and compassionate Med Surg Nurse to join our team. As a Med Surg Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients admitted to the medical surgical unit. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for patients and provide support and education to their families. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, changes in condition, and medical history
- Assist in planning and implementing patient care interventions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, pharmacists, and social workers, to coordinate patient care
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic medical records
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care conferences
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of electronic medical records and documentation systems
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and patient safety measures
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- Experience with electronic medical records systems
