Full job description Description: This position is responsible for completing project designs and detailed drawings as well as BOMs within customer guidelines. Designers must be able to interpret complex engineering specifications and apply that to the design of components and sub-assemblies using sound design principles, creative and independent judgement. Designers will work in a team environment under the direction of the Design Manager and Lead Designer. Duties & Responsibilities: - Generate detailed drawings as directed by the Design Manager and/or Lead Designers using Solidworks - Accurately and efficiently generate shop drawings - Participate in job status meetings - Communicate professionally with team members and managers to gather the necessary information for accurate drawings - Manage time and report progress to the Design Manager and Lead Designer

Additional Skills & Qualifications: REQUIRED: - Associate's Degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent - Proficiency in Solidworks - Familiarity with AutoCAD, other Autodesk products, and PDM Software - Willing to travel once per quarter to project sites PLUS: - Experience working on sheet metal projects - Experience working in a manufacturing setting, mechanical inclination - Experience with CAMduct, CAMmep, and/or Navisworks
