Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot problems and make economical and durable repairs• Dismantle devices and remove defective parts• Maintain and repair heavy equipment, trucks, shop, and non-mobile equipment• Service vehicles/equipment and perform preventative maintenance• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, etc.• Order parts and supplies, maintain purchase orders and invoices• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments• Install special functional and structural parts in devices• Start devices to test their performance• Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED• 5 years of experience as a skilled automotive mechanic• Experience with heavy duty construction equipment• Ability to read and interpret documents• Ability to work well with others• Ability to perform basic math calculations• Knowledge of database software
