Responsibilities
• Diagnosing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing various systems on heavy equipment• Performing equipment service maintenance requirements according to manufacturers' recommendations• Maintaining inventory of parts and support supplies for routine maintenance• Keeping tools, equipment, and work area clean and organized• Road testing equipment• Performing corrective and preventative maintenance on intermodal shipping containers
Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent• 2–7 years of heavy equipment service, repair, and maintenance• Diesel mechanic certification preferred• Knowledge of standard practices, tools, and equipment used in heavy equipment repair• Skilled in diagnostic testing, welding, and use of hand tools• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions• Ability to read manuals and schematics• Valid driver's license• Pass a pre-employment drug test and background check• Proof of citizenship required• Ability to work in different types of personal protective equipment• Physically able to perform job tasks, including lifting up to 50 lb alone• Experience in work environments with exposure to all weather conditions and temperature extremes
