Germaine Marine, American Fork, Utah, is hiring a full-time Certified Marine Mechanic (Mercury, Mercury Outboard and/or Honda) lead mechanic. We are a Mercury Marine (sales and service all product lines) and Honda Outboard Motor sales and service dealer. Our boat lines include Tige', Avalon and Bentley pontoons. You will be the leader of and part of a team of marine repair personnel with varying skills and must be able to work individually as well as part of that team. A valid driver's license and basic hand tools are required, you must be able to lift 50 pounds as well as perform other assigned duties. Germaine Marine has available a benefit package that offers various coverage options. Wages/salary are based upon experience and level of certification and range from $20.00 to $40.00 per hour.
Responsibilities (not in any order) ? Have a working knowledge of fiberglass hull repair, patching, welding, engine maintenance, and repair for both inboard and outboard motors as well as their propulsion systems.
? Provide day-to-day general support shop activities.
? Able to troubleshoot, service and repair DC electrical systems including, but not limited to, ignition, lighting, panel controls, accessories, and DC output points.
? Service and repair boat trailers in accordance with manufacturer specifications. This includes performing a full range of services for repairing brakes, axles, bearing, lighting, and tire replacement
? Perform other projects and/or tasks as assigned and/or needed.
? Perform engine and drive system alignments.
? Remove/reinstall engines and drive systems.
? Troubleshoot engine problems and recommend appropriate actions.
? Troubleshoot, maintain/overhaul basic hydraulic systems.
? Use various hand tools, torque wrench, drill press, welding machine, air compressor, generator, chain hoist,
? Read and interpret OEM engineering drawings and instructions.
? Operate power tools.
? Identify tools and materials per task and request materials as needed.
? Assist in jobsite set-up, maintenance, restoration and securing.
? Knowledgeable and trained in safe work practices.
? Prepare and cleanup work area.
? Possess and maintain valid driver's license and meet the company's policy on ability to drive company vehicles.
? Be willing to attend company paid service training schools. .
Qualifications MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Certified Lead Marine Mechanic shall have a minimum of two to three years' experience as an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certified mechanic with either Evinrude, Honda, Mercury (Outboard and Inboard), Suzuki or Yamaha outboard engines and ancillary equipment.

? Must have a high school diploma/GED
? Must be familiar with common hand tools and special tools required for performance of duties
? Must be willing to submit to random drug testing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift up to 50 lbs.
