The Material Planner will be responsible for the coordination of all day-to-day activities within the Vileda Professional CE America's supply chain, in support of the Regional Supply Chain Manager.
They are responsible for coordinating the supply chain to ensure benchmark service for our customers, and achievement of defined performance KPI. When faced with adversity, the Material Planner shall be capable of analyzing the situation, identifying root cause(s), and proposing solution(s) to help support the continuous improvement of the business unit. The Material Planner has to be able to competently manage the ERP system to ensure the right quantity of product is in stock at the right time. This is driven by accurate forecast planning and validation of MRP planning parameters applied to those items. This role is a key talent pool for developing and hiring new Supply Chain Managers.
Material Planner (Vileda Professional) (f/m/d)
Responsibilities Sales Forecast Management (IBP System) : Interface with sales and marketing to receive relevant forecasting information and input it into the IBP planning platform. Self-analyze sales forecast deviations and update / cleanup the master data to ensure the most accurate forecasts are flowing through the system. Understand the importance of accurate forecasting and communicate this within the organization and generate 'buy-in' and support from colleagues in different functional areas of the business. Material Master Management (SAP System) : Understand all elements of MRP master data routinely review and update to ensure the most optimized balance of inventory and service. Fully understand the build-up of product cost of goods. Review professional portfolio for accuracy and update where appropriate. Supply Network Planning & Execution (SAP System) : Execute the planning tasks in excellence – ensure that purchase requisitions are converted into new orders on time, ensure that all 'action messages' are acted upon where possible, and all purchase orders are confirmed in the system with accurate delivery dates. Manage logistics related to Amazon on-line business. Project Management and Support: Lead cost-down projects specific to the key components used: Foam, Corrugate, Bags, stainless steel, etc. Product line outsourcing. Part of a project team responsible for generating deliverables and offering a well thought analysis and proposals contributing to the project's success. Qualifications Degree in SCM preferred. 2+ years of related experience working in a supply/material planning role. Strong ERP knowledge is required (SAP strongly preferred, particularly knowledge of IBP). Intermediate or better computer knowledge including MS Office (in particular, Excel).
