Responsibilities
• Locate and verify materials and supplies• Deliver and open materials at work centers• Complete pre-use inspections of material-handling equipment• Weigh count containers as needed• Dispose of scrap and move it to proper destination• Use handheld scanners for routing and receiving• Operate overhead crane• Train new employees assigned to the area• Read tape measure and be familiar with work centers and assigned personnel• Load incoming and outgoing trucks and document the task
Requirements
• Perform duties satisfactorily and meet physical demands• High school diploma or GED preferred• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills• Computer knowledge and keyboard skills are a plus• Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions• Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)• Ability to understand and carry out detailed instructions• Possess and maintain forklift operator certification
