Material Handler Operator

Material Handler Operator - 2nd Shift Location Milwaukee, WI : Howard Precision Metal, part of the Ryerson family of companies, has an opportunity for a Material Handler position. As a Material Handler you are responsible for conducting the workflow of the warehouse floor. The future will be made from metal. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday from 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm. Roles and Responsibilities: Material handling- the filling of orders, the unloading of inbound trucks, moving inbound metal into inventory racks, & bringing inventory to machine operators, and create bundles for shipment to customer. Operate a forklift, side loader, and crane- this can require the employee to climb on and off of a forklift multiple time during the shift Record necessary information on receiving tickets or other documents Maintain safety, quality and productivity standards of each job assignment Working in a safe manner as outlined during training and use prescribed safety equipment including PPE All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice Position Requirements: • Some experience working in metals or warehouse setting Demonstrated experience in working with math (adding decimals) A proven track record of accuracy (few or no errors) Demonstrated experience to analyze and access each step of process to assure accuracy. Able to stand for extend periods of time and lift up to 70 pounds Successfully pass the Ramsay Corporation Combined Basic Skills Assessment which evaluates your reading, math, inspection & measurement, and process monitoring & problem-solving skills Experience Required: 1 - 3 Years Education Required: High School Diploma
