Owl is seeking a Summer Marketing Intern to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Owl Marketing team. The ideal candidate is an eager, continuous learner with an aptitude for problem solving and a keen eye for detail. Reporting to the Marketing Operations Manager, this role will get hands-on experience, support, and education across a range of marketing functions and be involved in strategy, planning, and execution phases of various marketing programs. The four areas of focus will be on social media (primarily LinkedIn & X), email, event coordination, operations, and reporting, as well as exposure to Content and Product Marketing.
(Candidates must be able to commute to Owl's Columbia, MD office 2-3 days per week.) Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Social Media (LinkedIn & X) Create social media content based on a calendar of themes and messaging. Engage with followers by commenting, reacting to, and sharing relevant posts and content. Monitor social media metrics and prepare regular reports and highlights. Email Marketing (HubSpot) Assist in drafting, scheduling, and sending marketing emails based on prepared marketing calendar of events & promotions. Monitor email metrics and prepare monthly reports. Event Coordination Support planning & logistics for trade shows and conferences. Packing, tracking, & maintaining inventory of marketing assets & equipment. Shipping and receiving of materials. Operations & Reporting Segment and build static & dynamic contact lists using profile and persona criteria. Assist with the build out of reports and dashboards. Other Content & Product Marketing activities as appropriate/time allows. Requirements/Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Obsessive attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to self-motivate, multi-task, prioritize, and adapt and thrive in a dynamic team environment. Attentiveness and punctuality to all required meetings & calls.
