Rotational Marketing Internship Program (open to students for Toledo & Columbus, OH offices) Libbey's rotational marketing internship program provides aspiring marketing students with a comprehensive and firsthand professional experience, fostering a greater understanding of the various job opportunities available within the larger marketing organization, enabling them to develop a well-rounded skill set across different marketing roles.
What does the Marketing Team at Libbey look like? The marketing team at Libbey is influential in the strategy and execution of foodservice, retail, and B2B channels. Our marketing interns play a role in driving robust growth, working with partners, and growing brand recognition within the U.S. and Mexico markets. From product marketing, to analyzing trends, to preparing for tradeshows, to building strategies, to connecting with end users, the marketing teams has diverse roles that play a critical part in the success of Libbey.
All marketing interns must meet the following criteria: Ability to work 15-20 hours per week, plus additional hours during peak periods Currently pursuing bachelor's degree Digital marketing experience preferred; but willingness to learn is a must Social media management experience preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a professional setting Excellent organization and time management skills Highest level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong analytical skills High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products Experience with copywriting and social media desired Each semester Libbey offers a variety of marketing internship opportunities. Areas of marketing experience would include category, foodservice end user, retail & ecommerce, and/or channel. Category Marketing Interns will: Support Libbey's product marketing team with inventory management, new product forecasting, product P&L and product life cycle management analysis. Partner with channel marketing to develop intriguing promotional programs to move unhealthy inventory.  Creatively contribute to special projects, presentations, and concepts.  Have responsibility for sample management which includes organizing samples, measuring, and recording dimensions of pre samples, responding to marketing and sales sample requests and identifying location of existing samples. Gain insightful project management skills by ensuring timeliness of product launches and customer specific executions. Apply your strong technical skills to produce product specific reports and analysis.  Foodservice Marketing Interns will: Assist with social media engagement, content development and asset management. Coordinate brand ambassador product kits and samples for external and internal events.  Conduct data analysis of metrics from multiple platforms such as social media and google analytics. Support development of foodservice marketing materials such as catalogs, brochures, and flyers. Use data to determine the next steps in many projects that influence the business. Coordinate and assist with sponsorships and marketing events.  Have regular communication with sales, external customers, and brand ambassadors.  Retail & Ecommerce Marketing Interns will: Seek opportunities to work with influencers and content creators to create relationships and increase Libbey's brand awareness.  Proof external-facing documents: market materials and social postings.  Periodically inventory Libbey's online retail store to ensure marketing is driving to in stock items.  Support the marketing initiatives with the planning, executing, and tracking key metrics of marketing programs such as email, event, social media, or content marketing.  Coordinate product, event, or content email marketing campaigns.  Work with marketing and e-commerce to develop SEO strategies to boost web traffic.  Assist in preparation of new go to market strategies and efforts.  Occasionally conduct copywriting and editing of website and other marketing content.  Track down, mark and ship samples as needed. Channel Marketing Foodservice Interns will: Assist with analyzing marketing trends and develop marketing materials for the Foodservice Channel. Coordinate tradeshows in 2024. This would include working with the booth planning, pre-show tool kits to drive customers to the events, budgeting, and execution of the events. Assist with pulling data for reporting and executing Product promotions quarterly. Support development of foodservice marketing materials such as catalogs, brochures, and product flyers Proof external-facing documents including catalogs, flyers, and other marketing materials. Help prepare customer presentations, if needed Channel Marketing Retail Interns will: Maintain Project Tracking List of all key customer initiatives, and work with Project Management and Product Managers to update status and delivery dates. Organize pre-production samples, respond to sales requests for pre-production samples, and track samples. Maintain and reset the Toledo Showroom. Partner with Channel Mktg and Sales Team on specific customer projects and preparing for line reviews (e.g., deco concepts, power point development, etc.). Create and update product sell sheets. Conduct market & trend analysis, as well as competitive shopping. Update and maintain a product catalog index. Assist with requests in CPQ, our customer and product management program.
