This position is an integral member of a growing marketing team that will be critical to our success – it is a great opportunity for an experienced Marketing Events Manager to join the team and have a high degree of responsibility and visibility within CVRx. The Marketing Events Manager is responsible for the coordination of conferences, user group meetings, medical education events and other meetings within the U.S. This role will work closely with downstream marketing, medical education, advocacy and engagement, and field teams.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Drive planning and management of an event calendar including national and regional/local conferences, user groups, medical education events, customer engagement activities, webinars, and internal events in support of increasing awareness, interest and adoption of Barostim therapy. Coordinate and execute all event logistics including: planning meetings, venue, registration, A/V, Health Care Professional (HCP) travel, transportation, catering, materials, accommodation, invoices, stakeholders, staffing, and post-event close-out. Manage relationships and negotiate contracts with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure high-quality and cost-effective event services. Act as the event management software lead, responsible for event registration builds in the event platform, including finding efficiencies as the volume of programs increase. Manage trade show and event specific budgets, ensuring cost effectiveness. Manage event lead generation including input and disbursement post-event. Develop event-specific communications to sales team, management and attendees, with a focus on awareness and alignment. Coordinate with the marketing team to develop event-specific promotional materials and content. Prepare and deliver post-event metrics and reporting, measuring ROI and conducting post-mortems with key stakeholders. Evaluate event ROI and make recommendations on a go-forward approach to events and sponsorships. Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. Stay informed of industry trends, advancements in event planning and formats through continuous learning and professional development. Ensure all programs are in compliance with the Sunshine Act, AdvaMed, corporate policies, and association guidelines. Support other downstream marketing projects as requested. Requirements Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline. 10+ years' experience in in-person event, meeting and/or tradeshow planning. Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once with competing deadlines. Self-starter attitude with the ability to learn quickly. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience using event and project management tools (i.e., Cvent, Asana). Desire to develop expert level understanding of brand guidelines and policies. Team player, ready to roll up sleeves and get things done in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of marketing principles and practices. Medical device industry experience. Experience with medical device regulatory, legal, quality review process. Preferred: Experience in a fast-paced early-stage start-up environment. Working Conditions and Required Physical Effort Normal office conditions. Will need to be in the office on occasion as needed. Ability to travel up to 25% in support of events, including evenings and weekends as need. May be required to be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus and other diseases.
