Business Analyst, Construction Solutions & Non-Wovens – Charlotte, NC Where the Chemistry Happens Sales at BASF revolves around the customer experience and driving profitable growth. The Dispersions & Resins business of BASF develops, produces, and markets a range of high-quality resins, additives, colorants, and polymer dispersions worldwide. These raw materials are used in formulations for coatings and paints, printing and packaging products, construction coatings, adhesives, cellulosics and composites, and paper manufacturing. With a comprehensive product portfolio and extensive knowledge of the industries we serve, our customers benefit from innovative and sustainable solutions to help them advance their formulations through chemistry.

We are seeking a professional like you to provide business intelligence and sales operations support to the Construction Solutions & Non-Wovens team. We will rely on your ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to generate actionable insights that enrich and accelerate our decision-making capabilities. Your analyses will enable the commercial team to meet volume, revenue, margin, and customer experience targets in a sustainable and responsible way. You will also complete ad-hoc projects and analysis as required to support the needs of the business.
This position reports to the Construction Solutions & Non-Wovens Business Director with close interaction and ongoing dialogue with sales, marketing, controlling, product management, supply chain and technical functions within the Dispersions & Resins organization.
Qualifications – NOTE: Not all positions are eligible for cross-regional relocation/work authorization. Cross regional is defined as movement between countries (e.g. Canada to U.S.). Formula for Success Your robust analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and business acumen will be critical to prepare and interpret pricing and margin analyses, evaluate opportunity pipeline status, track progress of key customer experience indicators, as well as other ad-hoc analyses and initiatives required by the business. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will help you interface with a variety of stakeholders to understand underlying information and align recommendations based on your analyses. Your ability to organize, interpret and visualize various types of complex data will be fundamental as you gather information, analyze it and present actionable insights to the management team. Your analyzes must convey information with clarity and produce recommendations that support decision making by the management team. Your strong entrepreneurial drive will be critical to initiate, lead, and execute process improvements. You will proactively identify and implement opportunities for key process efficiencies to improve overall business/commercial operations. You will develop, implement, and analyze monthly scorecard metrics to track key performance indicators. These metrics will translate into clear calls to action to improve business financials and our customers' experience. What we look for in you… B.S. Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent is required. 
2-4 years of broad-based business-analytics and reporting experience
Experience with sales forecasting & pipeline management in a B2B environment is preferred
Experience working in cross-functional teams, presenting financial information to executive audiences
Experience with data modeling/analysis, reporting on key performance indicators
Experience creating data visualization tools
Experience with SAP, PowerBI, and other relevant financial programs and software
