We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team at the downtown Los Angeles Farmers Market. The Sales Representative will play a key role in driving sales growth and promoting our market's offerings to customers, vendors, and community partners.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement sales strategies to attract new customers, increase revenue, and expand market reach. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, vendors, and community partners to enhance loyalty and satisfaction. Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to showcase our market's products and services at local events, festivals, and community gatherings. Conduct product demonstrations and tastings to educate customers about our vendors' offerings and encourage sales. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. Collaborate with vendors and market management team to identify market trends, customer preferences, and product opportunities. Monitor and analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify areas for growth and improvement. Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to track progress towards sales goals and objectives. Stay informed about industry developments, market trends, and regulatory requirements affecting the farmers market industry. Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification; additional education or training in sales, marketing, or business administration preferred. Proven experience in sales or customer service role, preferably in a retail, market, or food industry environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers and vendors. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-driven approach to sales. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively. Knowledge of local market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape in the farmers market industry. Proficiency in using sales software, point-of-sale systems, and Microsoft Office suite. Flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed to support farmers market operations.
