What a typical day as a Manufacturing Technician I might look like: Responsibilities: l As the Rework-Preservation Technician you will:
l Support team objectives and remain focused on safety, quality and timely execution
l Work within the product schedule requirements
l Provide oversight on contractors as needed
l Participate in pre-work meetings to discuss lift plans, schedule, hazards and work requirements
l Blend casting, metal materials using pneumatic/electric power tools
l Clean components to meet acceptance specification criteria
l Achieve Takt time of scheduled tasks
l Use various methods including manual hand sanding, filing to ensure component meets specification
l Help in all areas of work preparation (coordination of labor and materials) with minimal supervision
l Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures as applicable
l Communicate work status to management, leads and engineering as required
l Communicate to leads and/or managers, defective equipment and support consumable inventory status
l Visually inspect individual components and disposition for re-use, scrap based on specification requirements
l Stage components required to rework/clean in assigned areas with cranes as needed
l Apply corrosion protection as required to metal surfaces
This job might be an outstanding fit if you: Qualifications: l High School Diploma/GED
l Basic computer skills
l Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience
l Ability to work with a wide variety of personnel at all levels
l Manufacturing experience
l Wind turbine experience
l Power tool experience
l Ability and willingness to take initiative, and work without direct supervision
l Crane experience
