Job Summary: Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Manufacturing / Biomedical Engineer will plan the utilization of facility, equipment, materials and personnel, to improve efficiency of operations and assist in resolving product or operational issues.
Duties/ Responsibilities: Support company's vision and mission statement and participate in its continuous improvement program (LEAN);
Develop manufacturing facility layout proposals; schedule review meetings to obtain feedback and modify; coordinate projects for future state layout;
Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material and equipment;
Develop and design workplace layouts and material handling methods to improve efficiency and safety;
Lead, or is a member of teams working to reduce waste in the manufacturing processes, including Kaizen teams;
Work on projects involving specification of new equipment; obtain quotations from vendors; weigh alternatives; select preferred suppliers; coordinate installation/validation of machinery; develop preventative maintenance schedule;
Study operations sequence, material flow and functions, in order to recommend optimum number of workers, functions and responsibilities;
Assist in developing workflow/sequence for new products and measure for costing labor and material standards; perform pilot testing of equipment, new containers and new processes;
Develop metrics to measure manufacturing performance;
Coordinate with other departments' objectives to resolve production issues and maximize product reliability;
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Biomedical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering;
At least3 years of industrial engineering experience;
Proficiency in CAD software;
Mathematically proficient;
Ability to read and interpret a variety of technical drawings and instructions;
Exemplary oral / written communication and interpersonal skills;
Possess exceptional time management, organizational, attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
Travel will be required to the Springboro, OH facility from the CA headquarters.
Working Hours: 8:00AM –5:00 PM Monday - Friday
Compensation: $36.00 -$43.00 per hour, for this full-time, non-exempt position;
Performance reviews every 6 months with salary increase potential based on merit;
