Responsibilities
• Work with BOM's, routings, item maintenance, and product design and development• Perform engineering duties in planning and designing mechanical equipment• Research and analyze customer design proposals and specifications• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics• Confer with other personnel to resolve system malfunctions and provide technical information• Specify system components or direct product modification• Conduct research, design evaluation, installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical products and systems• Investigate equipment failures and make recommendations for maintenance• Recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions• Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods
Requirements
• BA in Mechanical Engineering• 2 years of Industrial Design experience• Experience with AutoCAD and 3-D modeling (preferably SolidWorks)• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail• Sheet metal fabrication experience is a plus
