The Job:


As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll be part of our Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing team working as an on-site employee. Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM), a division of Stanley Black & Decker, is a leading innovator and strategic partner in the manufacturing of fasteners, fittings, and engineered products for the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. CAM is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, evaluate, and enhance manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication process, tooling and production equipment capabilities assembly methods, and quality control standards. This onsite role reports to the Director of Engineering and is located in Berea, OH. You'll get to:

Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products Research customer specifications, and new processes Troubleshoot existing shop floor processes, tools, and equipment Design tooling for new and improving existing processes Design shop floor department and cell layouts Produce engineering drawings for new products Observe, understand, and document existing component processing Interact with customers, operators, sales reps and vendors Review and implement manufacturing drawing and engineering change notices Evaluate data and product specifications to determine feasibility of product proposal Analyze data and reports to determine if the design meets specifications The Person:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Metallurgy or Materials Science or equivalent experience required. 3+ years of process/manufacturing engineering experience in, applying advanced engineering principals in a metal forming manufacturing environment. Aerospace industry experience or exposure preferred. Working knowledge of manufacturing methods, concepts, processes, and systems. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Strong computer skills (MS Office - Excel, Word, Outlook) including ERP experience. Ability to function effectively in a team environment, effectively collaborate with other departments and work independently as well. Solid analytical skills and the ability to define and brainstorm solutions to problems. Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and priority shifts. Training in Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement Tools preferred. Product prototyping, qualification and/or testing experience preferred. Familiarity with ISO 9000 or AS9100 quality standards preferred. Working knowledge of CAD software; Inventor, Solidworks, CATIA highly preferred. The Details:
