Are you the type of person who likes to lead projects that solve problems and improve manufacturing processes to increase performance metrics? In this role, you will be part of activities and projects that improve manufacturing processes through the design and application of lean principles with some supervision on tactical activities. We're looking for lean and technical manufacturing knowledge along with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions.
Duties: Including but not limited to:
• Participate in, or lead, projects to meet established deadlines through multiple areas of manufacturing operations.
• Ensure reliable and consistent output based on standardized processes through project management and implementation.
• Document current and future state processes to analyze impact across functional areas.
• Identify the root cause of problems and work collaboratively to develop and implement solutions continuously.
• Create work instructions, parts presentation, tool development, line design, and process auditing in support of production KPI attainment.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or other related field with a minimum of 3 years of related experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, tooling design, and/or experience reading technical drawings preferred.
• Ability to understand problems from a customer's perspective and produce a mutually acceptable result leading to improved quality and efficiency for the customer.
• Knowledge of assembly and welding techniques, just-in-time manufacturing processes, and statistical process variation. Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic drawings.
• Ability to utilize lean principles to drive improvement and act as a champion of the change.
Travel:
• Occasional travel is expected of this position.
