As a Technology Risk Guide supporting the Enterprise Consumer Product Tech and Consumer Identity Tech organizations, you will apply your Tech and Cyber risk management skills and analytical skills to some of our highest profile Risk Management projects. Tech Risk Guides are thought leaders and collaborators across Technology, Product, Divisional CIO, and Cyber Security teams, partnering with them to develop and support best-in-class industry risk solutions in a manner that supports innovation and protects our customers, shareholders and associates. Your contributions will drive organizational change through risk identification, measurement, analysis and reporting in order to better manage the companys Tech and Cyber risks in an open and collaborative environment.
Technology Risk Guide Managers are experienced and progressive individuals that operate within a highly collaborative team environment to deliver value-added risk management services to our business partners. You will have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to work with technology and product leaders to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company.
The successful candidate should have demonstrated experience:
Understanding technology functions and organizations, applying strong analytics, planning, strategic thinking, organizational, and communication skills
Applying technology and cyber risk fundamentals to develop and manage ongoing routines for program management
Building relationships with business and risk partners with varying levels of pre-existing risk management experience
Managing multiple tasks independently to meet deadlines
Communicating complex ideas concisely and convincingly, adjusting communication to the audience, and confidently presenting to executive leadership
Collaborating with and seeking insights from others while valuing diverse perspectives
In this role, you will:
Partner with Enterprise Product & Experience product and technology teams and leverage a trusted advisor model to support business initiatives, issue management, process improvement, control testing and related risk assessment activities
Develop a deep understanding of technology and business strategies, products, services, and associated risk profile and risk indicators to understand the impact of technology risk on critical business processes
Facilitate ongoing risk management within the context of standard programs including Risk & Control Self-Assessments, Process-Level Assessments, technology and cyber exceptions, and targeted risk assessments for material technology and cyber changes
Develop and deliver executive-level risk updates and support reporting for technology risk metrics
Perform risk analyses, deep dive investigations, and other assessments initiatives to dimension and manage risk posture and strengthen the overall effectiveness of controls within the environment
Design and support internal risk and control governance processes
Identify and implement continual tech risk program enhancements based on industry standards and best practices in alignment with Capital Ones strategic risk direction
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
At least 3 years of tech and cyber risk management experience
At least 2 years of project management experience
CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CISM or other industry risk professional certification
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years leading cross functional technology risk management projects in a public cloud based environment
2+ years of experience in a leadership capacity on cross-functional teams
3+ years of experience managing risks, governance, and controls for technology, digital products, and solutions
3+ years of experience applying risk management frameworks and developing associated reporting and metrics

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $163,300 - $186,400 for Manager, Cyber Risk & AnalysisCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
