Volt is immediately hiring a Manager of Business Development in Charlotte, NC.
As a Manager of Business Development, you will: Supervise a team of 6-9 employees
Manage the day-to-day operations which include tracking quotes, entering orders, scheduling lead- times, and ensuring export requirements are met
Work closely with the Production Control team to ensure achievable deliveries for customers and the manufacturing group
Oversee marketing and advertising functions
Travel to customer sites, both domestic and international
Attend industry trade shows to expand customer base and to build strong customer relationships
This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
Bachelor's degree required
5 years of experience working within a technical sales and marketing environment is required
5 years of supervisory experience is required; previous experience managing a sales and/or marketing team is preferred
Managing people within a business development, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering environment
Supporting both domestic and international customers
Utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software such as salesforce.com for tracking of customer opportunities, quotes, wins, losses
Understanding of pricing and manufacturing costs
Experience in the optics, laser optics, or optical materials industry is strongly preferred
Pay rate: $110,000 - $160,000
