Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager of Investments to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our retail annuities and life business, contributing to various initiatives such as new business pricing, product development, and investment performance monitoring. Additionally, you will lead investment-related modeling and analytic support for internal functions, ensuring the success of our retail pricing, risk management, and reinsurance efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Retail Pricing Support:
Manage and oversee routine submissions related to retail pricing, including new business investment assumptions and portfolio analytics.
Track retail performance metrics and provide valuable insights to drive business decisions.
Strategic Asset Allocation:
Collaborate with our investment team to establish strategic asset allocation parameters for our retail business.
Dynamic Asset Allocation:
Conduct optimization exercises for new retail business, considering asset and liability characteristics to maximize investment metrics.
Tactical Asset Allocation:
Evaluate special investment opportunities and provide recommendations to enhance retail investment performance.
Retail Portfolio Monitoring & Rebalancing:
Regularly review the retail portfolio, collaborate with analysts, and recommend rebalancing strategies to optimize investments.
Retail ALM:
Partner with actuarial and pricing teams to project assets and liabilities, incorporating ALM perspectives into investment decisions.
Reinsurance Portfolio Monitoring and Transaction Execution:
Lead the design and implementation of reinsurance portfolio monitoring processes, making strategic recommendations for investment enhancements.
Support reinsurance transactions by managing asset selection processes and reviewing investment guidelines.
Resegmentation and MYP/CFT Support:
Oversee quarterly resegmentation processes to ensure proper asset backing for each line of business.
Provide support for multi-year projections and cashflow testing processes related to retail investments.
Experience and Education Requirements:
7+ years of experience in asset management, portfolio analytics, or credit research.
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, actuarial science, or related field.
Progress towards a CFA or similar professional designation is preferred.
Familiarity with life insurance products such as FIA, MYGA, and IUL is advantageous.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or Alteryx is a plus.
Familiarity with Factset, Bloomberg, Aladdin, Intex, AXIS, or similar asset modeling software is desirable.

Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned.
Consistent attendance and punctuality.
Occasional travel may be required (less than 10%).
