Lonza Pharma & Biotech has an opening for an experienced Facilities Manager at their Bend, Oregon location.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate third party services to maintain and repair company facilities Provide day-to-day, hands-on management of company facilities, equipment, systems, and maintenance Support 24/7 operation of manufacturing and facilities Direct and coordinate maintenance, repair and improvement of facility systems Make recommendations to management to resolve facility issues, perform operational troubleshooting and identify opportunities for continuous improvement Communicate equipment status, work schedules and production issues effectively with associates, management, suppliers and contractors Provide audit support for the facility and maintenance program Maintain a safe work environment by promoting safe work practices in alignment with LOTO, NFPA 70e, permit to work, and other company policies and procedures Coach and mentor team to build a methodology of maintenance improvement, troubleshooting, and problem solving Coordinate shutdown program and activities Constructively, courteously and professionally interact with peers and clients in manufacturing, maintenance, utility plants, analytical labs and contracted services Develops, recommends and maintains a site security strategy that complies with those outlined in 21 CFR Parts 211 & 212. Monitors and maintains the Building Automation System and alarms Function effectively with peers and demonstrate a high degree of teamwork Key requirements:
Significant years of experience in engineering, maintenance and/or facilities roles 5+ years of experience in biotech/pharmaceutical engineering Experience with computerized maintenance management systems, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and Building Automation Systems preferred People come to Lonza for the challenge and creativity of solving complex problems and developing new ideas in life sciences.
