El proyecto tiene el potencial de ayudar a impulsar el futuro energético limpio del país, reforzar la cadena de suministro nacional de minerales esenciales, hacer crecer la economía local y mejorar la calidad de vida en el condado de Santa Cruz y en las comunidades aledañas para las generaciones venideras.WHAT SOUTH32 OFFERS• Annual short-term incentive bonus that recognizes both your individual performance and the overall success of the business. • When you choose to contribute more into your retirement savings, South32 will match it up to a certain percentage.• South32 provides you with 4 weeks paid time off.• 12 weeks full-paid parental leave for primary carers and 2 weeks full-paid parental leave for secondary carersABOUT THE ROLEThis role is a Permanent position based at in Tucson, Arizona or Santa Cruz County, Arizona.As External Affairs Manager- Hermosa you will be responsible for planning and executing community relations and social performance aimed at building strong and sustainable relationships that will ensure project delivery and serve as the foundation to create and maintain a robust social license to operation for South32 Hermosa.Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:• Champion the South32 operating model, values, Code of Conduct, and Care Strategy and relentlessly address deviations from these.• Develop and execute on the Hermosa External Affairs Strategy for Project Delivery and sustaining operations.• Manage all Community based studies and assessments.• Provide strategic leadership to the broader Communities team.• Support all public consultation and agreement requirements under NEPA process.• Work in partnership other functions to plan and deliver: Nature based strategy for Hermosa; local procurement and workforce goals; economic development and community health impact plan.ABOUT YOU• Bachelor's degree in arts or science in a field that is linked to social Performance or mining; relevant master's degree a plus. • At least 15 years of experience in community engagement and social investment including a demonstrated track record of working with multiple local organizations (non-profit, government, etc)• At least 10 years of specific experience in projects related to mining or energy sectors.• At least 6 years of experience in leading teams in charge of community engagement processes, social investment programs, and consultation for mining projects.• Strong communication skills including writing experience and ability.• Strong project management skills to meet deadlines, establish clear priorities quickly, and bring projects to completion on time and within budget.• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, legal codes, administrative procedures, government regulations, and agency rules as they relate to the social and environmental aspects of mining operations -National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP)South32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
