Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to achieve business objectives for the company's transportation and logistics services. The position requires a strong understanding of the industry, the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, and effective communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets
Build and maintain relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
Identify potential new business opportunities and develop plans to pursue them
Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful implementation of sales strategies
Prepare and present sales proposals and negotiate contracts with customers
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and provide regular reports to management
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in market conditions
Attend industry events and conferences to network and promote the company's services

Educational background / Work experience
A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, logistics, or a related field is usually required. A master's degree in a related field may be preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the transportation and logistics industry is typically required for this position.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of transportation and logistics industry trends and regulations
Strong negotiation and contract management skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Proficiency in using sales and CRM software

Supervisory Responsibilities (if any)
The Sales Manager may be responsible for supervising a team of sales representatives.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in managing a sales team
Experience with international sales and logistics
Familiarity with lean management principles

Language skills
Fluency in English is typically required, and knowledge of other languages may be preferred, depending on the company's customer base.

Computer Literacy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales-related software, such as CRM tools, is required.

For this position, the expected base pay is:

$104,500.00

$156,000 / Annual.

Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
