Position Summary:
The Cross Dock Manager has primary responsibility of product flows for same-day home delivery and is measured by relevant metrics and KPI's. This leader will provide training and performance feedback while maintaining a safe and productive environment. This role will work in conjunction with the Regional Cross Dock Manager in facilitating strong partnerships with Conn's showrooms and the 3rd party delivery providers.
Responsibilities:
Oversees Cross Dock operations, including, but not limited to scheduling of customer deliveries, receiving freight, inventory control, and handling delivery, merchandise, and customer service issues
Directly manages all personnel assigned at the cross dock
Supports the retail stores in the assigned market with properly handling delivery, merchandise, and customer service issues
Acts as a subject matter expert and resource for Distribution associates
Participates, as needed, in the onboarding and training of new Distribution personnel
Performs any other tasks or special projects as assigned by senior management
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 – 4 years prior management experience required, preferably in warehouse and delivery
Must have sound decision-making and problem-solving skills
Must have excellent customer service and follow-up skills
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to occasionally position self to maintain/move product throughout the facility and be able to remain in a stationary position for extended period
Must be able to constantly work in an open/outdoor warehouse environment
Ability to travel up to 10%
Previous experience operating a Conn's Cross Dock is preferred
Undergraduate degree is preferred
High school diploma or GED is required
