Responsibilities
• Execute the strategic plan of the division and provide leadership• Ensure effective use, maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical equipment• Implement and maintain policies and procedures• Write technical documents for standard operating procedures• Ensure timely project delivery and consistency of operations• Manage training and education of all employees• Assist with the management of departmental contracts• Support Hoxworth Blood Center's safety, cGMP, and Quality Plan• Support and promote all aspects of inclusion and core values• Provide direct and/or indirect supervision to staff
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering or applicable field• Five years of relevant work experience in equipment and instrumentation management• One year of direct supervisory experience preferred• Master's Degree preferred• MT/MLS (ASCP) certification preferred• Working knowledge of computer software, metrology, inventory control, and facilities maintenance desired• Strong technical and operational management experience• Proven ability to build relationships and make sound decisions• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Solution-oriented and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
