Overview: Our top client is seeking a Manager Behavioral Health to join their team. The Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, and directing functions to ensure the effective operation of the unit. In cooperation with the leadership team, the Manager will be instrumental in developing plans, policies, and procedures to provide quality care efficiently. The eligible candidate MUST have experience as an RN in an inpatient behavioral health unit in an acute care system.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure effective, flexible utilization of staff within staffing guidelines, taking into consideration the staff's competency and patient acuity
Evaluate staff performance and work-related behavior per policies, obtaining information from appropriate personnel and utilizing effective coaching to enhance the performance of the employee
Model leadership behavior, set expectations for teamwork, and hold staff accountable for performance
Demonstrate effectiveness in planning for future needs by budget preparation on an annual basis, monitoring monthly reports to ensure that the department stays within budget constraints
Participate in the organization's educational programs and support the community outreach program while maintaining advanced practice study
Requirements:
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State in which you practice or must hold Compact/Multi-State RN License - Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
A current BLS and ACLS from American Heart Association (AHA or American Red Cross are required)
5+ years of managerial experience
Acute Inpatient Behavioral Health Program: Our 22-bed adult inpatient unit offers specialized care, such as cognitive therapy and individualized psychotherapy. Our client provides treatment in a safe, therapeutic environment with 24/7 access to psychiatric and medical professionals. Our client's psychiatric team specializes in treating people facing anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), suicidal thoughts or tendencies, and thought disorders, including schizophrenia and psychosis.

Position Directly Supervises: Nurses and PCTs in the unit
Reports Directly to the Program Director
Reason for vacancy: person previously in the seat was promoted to Director in the hospital.
Salary Range: Up to $98,000 per year
Signing Bonus: Up to $10,000
Relocation Package: Up to $10,000
