Job Summary Job Responsibilities: This position exists to support the Institute for Professional Development (IPD) in its role as part of Minnesota State's Workforce and Economic Development Division that prepares Minnesota's current and future workforce. IPD serves individuals, non-profit organizations, public sector entities, and corporations by providing engaging interactive training workshops with tools and concepts that can be immediately applied in the workplace. This role would manage the operations and logistics of marketing and executing those events with emphasis on coordinating multiple data base systems and pulling information to build reports that provide sales trends, quality assurance, marketing effectiveness, and customer feedback to inform team decisions on products and service.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications The following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position. The ability to analyze data, to clearly see when numbers may not make sense and need more examination of the calculation formulas or processes to determine the cause. The ability to create and use Excel spreadsheets and workbooks to store data, analyze data, and import and export data from one commercial software product to another- including the understanding of using formulas. The ability to present information as part of a team decision-making process and express their own opinions. The ability to gather information from customers and instructors by asking thoughtful questions to find the root cause of problems so that a solution to a situation can be determined. The ability to practice the principles of communication and teamwork that IPD teaches including respectful professional responses to unhappy customers, seeking inclusion and equity in team operations, and perform duties in an inter-dependent culture (working independently when needed, asking questions and seeking help when necessary, and helping others as required). The ability to navigate comfortably between commercial software products that could include, but not be limited to: Salesforce, Basecamp, Marketplace, Credly, and D2L Brightspace. The ability to write and speak at a level for professional communications with customers through email, phone, and Zoom. The ability to use project management concepts and process improvement tools to improve department efficiencies. The position may require movement throughout building(s) to a significant degree with the loading and unloading of supplies from a vehicle.
