Your time is split between onsite make-ready and maintenance technician duties – so hopefully you know how to have balance! Whether it's painting, addressing a work-order for a resident, ensuring that apartment homes are ready as scheduled, replacing fixtures or assisting in the achievement of property maintenance goals! Constantly on-the-go, and as a people person who knows how to give great customer care to anyone you come in contact with, you'll have plenty to keep you busy! The Lead Maintenance Technician is your direct leader and together you're a part of a well-oiled teammate machine!A few things that your day-to-day include:Following policies in keeping exterior and interior surfaces protected during painting.Filling cracks, holes, or joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking and/or putty equipment.Working with primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces, such as bare wood or metal, for finish coats.Working with paint, stain, varnish, enamel, or other finishes for rehabbing purposes while using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.Calculating amounts of required materials and estimate costs, based on surface measurements or work orders.Handling and addressing orders for residents, or receive instructions from supervisor to determine work requirements.Removing fixtures such as door knobs or electric switch covers prior to painting.Washing and treating surfaces with oil, turpentine, mildew remover, or other preparations, and sand rough spots to ensure that finishes will adhere properlyIf you're the one we're looking for…You're a natural-born leader with a great attitude!You enjoy communicating with a variety of people!You have the confidence to sell anything!You take pride in your work and perform to excel!You have a knack for customer care and problem solving to make the most of any situation!You are a well-organized multi-tasker that enjoys a fast-paced environment!You are proficient in writing, speaking, and communicating in-person, on the phone, virtually, and through email!You have the flexibility to work weekends and care about doing what it takes to make what you do successful!What It's Like To Work At Olympus:You might be asking yourself "Why work for Olympus"?
