Maintenance Technician

Summary This is an industrial maintenance position, so no grounds. The technician will be repairing/fixing/troubleshooting/re-building any equipment in the building as well as possibly repairing some parts of the building. However, typically, if there is a small project, such as replacing a door or fixing a wall, outside contractors are hired to complete that work. The technician will be primarily tasked with ensuring our production lines continue to operate. This is not light manufacturing or construction, this is heavy manufacturing, it's dirty, smelly, and hard work. Our client is looking for the right fit. This will be contract to hire.
Shifts Available 1st Shift- 5am-3pm (M-F)
3rd Shift- 9pm (Sat-Thur)
Basic Job Steps Follow Lockout/Tag out Procedures Maintains Plant, equipment, and facilities Find the problem Troubleshoot solutions to the problem Fix the problem Unlock machine Clean up Required PPE Internal Metatarsal Boots Safety Glasses Welding Helmet Respirators Leather, Chemical, & Electrical Gloves Voltage Meter Hearing Protection Hard Hat in Foundry Fall Protection Harness Fall Protection Lanyard Class 4 Electrical Kit Tools/Equipment Used Welding Rods Cutting Torch Electric Saws Bench Grinder Hammers Ladders Grinding Tools Bobcat/Forklift Locks & Tags Presses Jacks/Jack Stands Safe Job Procedures Wear PPE Jack stands must be used at all times for vehicles Trouble shoot with caution Upon diagnosing the problem, plan a safe maintenance method Read chemical labels before use Examine all tools before use Use lockout/tag out properly Use proper body mechanics Always be aware of surroundings and potential dangers Abide by confined space policy upon entering one
