Job Description
Responsibilities of a Maintenance Manager :
Maintain good human relations skills, communication skills, and leadership qualities with supervisors, peers, and subordinates. Assist with planning of the annual maintenance and repair budget while assisting in the preparation of the annual investment budget and maintaining M&R budget. Responsible to review and evaluate personnel concerning performance, safety, and training. Assist work group to implement and monitor an effective PM program and monitor the program on existing equipment and new equipment acquisitions. Ensure that work orders and work assignments are completed in a timely fashion by the maintenance department. Assist the Plant Manager and Safety Management Representative in the implementation of any safety related projects, upgrades, or improvements. Drive employee engagement, training, and development in the key areas of food safety, employee safety, product quality, and productivity. Follow all procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and personal safety requirements outlined in position Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Review & prepare all maintenance expense summaries monthly for review by manager. Required Qualifications of a Maintenance Manager : Minimum 3+ years experience in a technical field, preferably in food manufacturing or consumer goods industry, including Maintenance responsibilities. Minimum 3+ years manufacturing maintenance experience in food, consumer packaged goods (CPGs), or related industry required. Minimum 3+ years in a plant leadership role supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing Maintenance Technicians; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees. knowledge of PLC and newer technology is a must! Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment. Bachelor's Degree or Technical School Preferred
