The Maintenance Craftsman is responsible for building and grounds painting tasks by performing the following duties:
Grounds maintenance: snow removal, rubbish removal, recycle pickup. Building maintenance: painting, equipment/furniture moves and set-ups. Operate and utilize tools of the trade including some heavy equipment General repairs and installation of structural components and materials General labor assignments Additional duties as assigned Requirements: High school or equivalent from an accredited school Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in general commercial construction (painting) Knowledge of some of the following skills: Drywall, tile, carpentry, masonry, concrete, painting, reading prints and diagrams, tools of the trade. Demonstrates good communication skills and has the ability to work in a team environment and independently Strong dependability Problem-solving skills Customer focused Basic math, reading and comprehension skills Willing to work overtime including weekends, holidays and call-ins Considered a plus: Snowplowing experience Previous chemical plant experience or knowledge of chemical hazards Formal technical/trade schools or certifications Computer skills Previous experience in a team-based work environment Physical Demands: Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Lifting up to 100 pounds. Working on ladders, lifts, pipe racks and in confined spaces. Wearing all required personal protective equipment. Ready for your next career step?
