Position will be filled at either the Machinist 4 or 5 level, depending on skillsManufacture parts and assemblies using manual and CNC mills and lathesProvide fabrication services for internal and external customers related to nuclear weapons programs

Responsibilities
• Work from complex drawings, sketches, CAD models, and verbal instructions• Program, set up, and operate manual and CNC mills and lathes, EDM, and general machine shop tooling• Manufacture complex parts with exacting tolerances• Review activities for other machinists at the higher level• Create manufacturing drawings or sketches and review customer provided drawings• Perform precision measurements on parts using inspection tools• Operate manual and powered lifting equipment/devices• Communicate effectively with customers• Follow policies and procedures for working safely• Maintain and grow excellent customer relations and supervise other machinists

• Ability to read and interpret drawings and sketches• Advanced ability to create 3D models and apply CAD software• Skilled knowledge of applied mathematics and machining processes• Ability to perform precision measurements on parts• Ability to operate lifting equipment and devices• Effectiveness in communication and teaming• Ability to follow safety procedures• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot customer provided drawings• Advanced ability to create 3D models and apply advanced knowledge of CAD software• Skilled knowledge of applied mathematics, machining processes, and material properties• Ability to maintain and grow excellent customer relations• Supervisory experience in a machine shop environment• Associates degree in Machining Technologies or equivalent program and years of experience
