JOB SUMMARY: MAAC Machinery has an opening for a Machinist within our machine shop. The core function will be to set up and operate manual mills and lathes to produce machine components, per blueprint specifications. These components are a critical part of our operations and will be used in numerous machine fabrication processes. Along your journey you'll also have the opportunity to train on and ultimately run a Vertical Machining Center (VMC), producing high-volume and high-difficulty components. Operate and maintain milling and lathe machinery. Review blueprints, drawings, or samples to ensure accuracy. Select appropriate machine settings. Maintain proper inventories of completed components. Inspect all produced parts for quality assurance. Identify any needed maintenance or repairs on equipment. Must practice safe work habits and keep a clean and organized workstation.
