Machine Shop Intern

Are you a highly motivated apprentice looking to gain experience in our Machine Shop Department? Our state-of-the-art Machine Shop includes CNC Machining, Manual Machining, Welding, and Inspection. If so, this first shift, 7:30A-3:30P, Chandler-based position is the perfect fit for you! This candidate must have the following to be considered for the role: Willing to assist the Machine Shop Foreman in a variety of machining and welding tasks Minimum of 1+ years' experience reading blueprints Good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Summary of Essential Functions: Support the Machine Shop Department with equipment maintenance Assist Machinists with deburring and tapping parts Assist with various sawing and welding tasks Perform other duties as assigned to assist the Machine Shop Department Additional Requirements: Familiar with operating CNC and Manual machines Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 practices Experience with CAD programs such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks a plus. Knowledge of programming Mills using SURFCAM is a definite plus. Manual mills and lathe experience a plus.
