What We Offer$17 per hour, 1st shift$20 per hour, 3rd shift1st shift, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM3rd shift, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AMHealth benefits, including telehealth medical servicesOpportunity for advancementReferral program What We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or GED2+ years of working in a manufacturing environmentStrong work ethic and organizational skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentAbility to stand for the duration of the shiftAbility to work individually and in teamsKeen at recognizing quality issuesAbility to lift 50+ poundsAbility to climb stairs, kneel, bend, and crouch What You'll Do as a Machine OperatorOperate lines, maintain proper speeds and adjustments to ensure the line is operating at the specific production rates while producing a product that meets the quality specificationsPerform continuous inspections of product both visually and through micrometers, and record product and process parametersComplete all necessary paperwork as required, giving particular attention to product weights and scrapPackage product according to instructionsKeep extrusion lines, equipment, and surrounding areas clean and orderlyWeigh and scan all finished goods in the data acquisition systemPalletize and band completed productShut down bag machines properlySet counters, winders, and bag machines per jobRead and understand each job orderMake minor adjustments on winders such as speed, tension, and core alignments on shaftsVerify bag seals, length, width, and gauge with calipers, micrometers, etc.Calibrate the extruder based on line samplesCut plastic from cores using utility knife and wear proper PPECut cores using a table sawMaintain a clean environment in all areas of the facilityUse the correct sized pallet to stack finished goods on the pallet, and wrap and label the finished pallet per customer specificationsPerform other tasks as assigned
