Follow and support all Company safety and GMP policies Maintain operation of designated line. Ability to take ownership of the line when it is down and be responsible for getting the line back up and running under normal running conditions. Responsible for the enforcement of safety rules to the packer. Responsible for housekeeping that is due by the end of the shift. Ability to do all technician paperwork, key information into the computer system, and be responsible for all products run on the line. Ability to understand the process and operation of the equipment. Perform adjustments to machine as required for orders or to troubleshoot issues. Ability to troubleshoot problems in different parts of the line to manufacture quality products that meet order specifications Other tasks as assigned by supervisor. EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Ability to work a 12 hour rotating swing shift (2-2-3) Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments Ability to calibrate machines and understand different systems Ability to wear all required PPE (steel toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, and other PPE as required) Ability to lift up to 65lbs Ability to read and understand work orders Knowledge in navigating different computer programs Ability to communicate with employees Ability to obtain forklift license Language skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, simple checklists, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and in small group situations. Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration and percent. Reasoning skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work around moving machinery or electricity requiring a high level of safety awareness. Employee is required to work with various hand tools and must be able to wear appropriate PPE. Employee may be required to lift up to 65 pounds unassisted while performing job duties; push or pull up to 100 pounds. Employee may reach, climb, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, bend or twist up to 66% of the work shift

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often subjected to changing priorities, time pressures and constraints, and a high level of job related stress. Work is performed in manufacturing operations where the noise level in the work environment is typically loud. Employees are required to use hearing, eye and toe protection. Other PPE may be required when working around moving machinery.
