Job Summary: Under the general direction of the MAP Program Manager and the Dignity Health Director of Volunteers the volunteer coordinator supervises volunteers to strengthen the MAP program.
Responsible for coordination of volunteer assignments associated record keeping data entry new volunteer orientation volunteer recruitment annual volunteer education programs and development of volunteer training. Coordinator is also a Benefits Counselor so they can train monitor and evaluate volunteers. Minimum Qualifications: Must be willing to work a varied shift schedule including evenings and some weekends. Must have the ability to work independently set priorities and manage work within timeframes communicate effectively verbally and in writing positive mental attitude. Strong customer service orientation. Must be computer literate including Microsoft PowerPoint Excel Word and Publisher. Must be able to type 50 wpm. Some travel may be required. Three (3) years working with public in a community setting. High School or equivalent. Complete Nevada MAP Counselor Training within 30 days. Preferred Qualifications: Some college preferred.
