Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Decatur, AL, 35601
Shift: 2:45 PM 11:15 PM
Duration: 13 weeks
Hourly Pay: $30 to $30
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Decatur, AL. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and support within our healthcare facility. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent clinical skills, communication abilities, and a commitment to patient well-being.
Responsibilities: Perform routine nursing care procedures under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians. Administer medications and injections as prescribed by healthcare providers. Monitor patient vital signs and report any deviations or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel. Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, progress notes, and treatment plans. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding healthcare procedures, conditions, and treatments. Follow established protocols and policies to ensure patient safety and compliance with regulatory standards. Participate in continuing education and training programs to maintain licensure and enhance professional development. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice and confidentiality guidelines. Qualifications: Valid LPN license in the state of AL. Current CPR certification. Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a similar role. Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred. Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and organizational priorities. Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care. Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings as required by the employer.
