Operations Assistant
to perform coordination duties and assign the activities of multiple technicians in the performance of garage door service operations to include service repairs, inspections, inventory management and schedule management. This is a working management assistant position with the ratio of production to supervision activities based on business growth and operational tempo. Responsibilities (as an Operations Manager) - Assistance Role will support or take on some of the responsibilities below
Maintain oversight over all field technicians and company-owned assetsCommunicate and report daily with management.Lead/manage team, inventory, and jobs.Skills Required
Ability to learn and teach new processesAbility to plan, implement and direct field activitiesStrong computer and software skills - including scheduling and dispatch management systemsAbility to train and motivate field techniciansAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and general publicCustomer service-oriented outlook on businessBe a self-starter with the ability to organize multiple projects, manage rapidly shifting priorities and produce tangible, measurable resultsAdvanced problem-solving skillsMechanical aptitude - knowledge and skilled in using various hand and power tools.Basic business math and legible handwritingMust have valid drivers' license with good driving record and be insurable.Education
High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2-4 years of experience that would provide the skills and abilities necessary to complete the job.Experience
2-4 years experience in the garage door industry - ideal, but not necessaryOne-year supervisory experience preferred.
