Description We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented logistics coordinator to join our team. As a logistics coordinator, you will play a key role in managing and coordinating the movement of goods and materials to ensure timely delivery. Your exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask will be critical in maintaining efficient operations and delivering exceptional customer service.
In this role, you will work closely with various teams, including transportation, warehouse, and customer service, to oversee the entire logistics process. You will be responsible for tracking shipments, coordinating with carriers, managing inventory levels, and resolving any transportation or delivery issues that may arise. Additionally, you will oversee the scheduling, planning, and execution of shipments to meet customer requirements and ensure on-time delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You must have a keen eye for detail and be able to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate and track inbound and outbound shipments Collaborate with carriers to schedule and arrange transportation for shipments Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, including tracking numbers, delivery dates, and any delays. Manage multiple shipments simultaneously, prioritizing urgent deliveries Collaborate with other departments to streamline logistics processes and improve overall efficiency Resolve any transportation or delivery issues in a timely manner Prepare and maintain various reports related to logistics activities Communicate with customers to provide status updates and resolve any inquiries or concerns Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in the logistics industry Basic Requirements Proven experience in logistics coordination, dispatching or a similar role Strong understanding of logistics principles and best practices Proficient in logistics management software and tools Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the logistics industry is a plus Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends, as needed Pay starting at $55,000 to $60,000 Annual Base Salary Depending on Experience
