Job Summary Supervise the movement of surplus equipment and furniture in the Department of Logistics. Coordinate the replacement and removal of damaged furniture; provide all furniture transportation from campus to Logistics Warehouse; manage the moving of all heavy and fragile equipment on campus.This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Warehouse staff, Building Managers, Property Coordinators, vendors, and contractors. This position will typically advise and counsel.
Responsibilities Job Duty 1 -
Coordinate the movement of surplus equipment and furniture in Logistics Warehouse, following GT guidelines and policies. Coordinate the replacement and removal of all damaged furniture on GT Campus. Oversee moving of heavy and/or fragile equipment. Job Duty 2 -
Schedule surplus visitation appointments. Job Duty 3 -
Assume accountability for all equipment and furniture maintained in the Logistics Warehouse. Job Duty 4 -
Inspect loading and unloading area frequently to ensure compliance with Environmental Health and Safety standards. Educate Logistics staff on the Environmental Health and Safety standards. Job Duty 5 -
Communicate with Logistics staff, prepare and submit appropriate paperwork and reports. Communicate with campus staff and assist in investigating and resolving customer inquiries. Job Duty 6 -
Sort and prepare surplus equipment in Logistics warehouse for onsite auctions. Job Duty 7 -
Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Educational Requirements
High School Diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma Other Required Qualifications
Valid Georgia Driver's License; Forklift Certification through OSHA-certified training program Required Experience
Three to five years job related experience Preferred Qualifications Transport/Delivery Services management
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other software
Excellent communication skills
Strong customer service orientation
Time management & ability to adapt to changing environment
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities SKILLS
Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety standards. This job requires the ability to lift heavy loads up to 75 pounds, and the ability to operate a forklift. Must also have good customer service skills and good attention to detail.

Salary range is dependent on candidates experiences and skills that ranges from $36,462 - $45,868.
